Spring Obsession 2005 grand opening weekend, March 18-March 20, 2005, was three days filled with great art from around the US, the Northern California Daffodil Society's annual show, a gala dinner and an International Chef's competition. The quality of the art at the show in both divisions was wonderful and included portraits, flowers, landscapes and animals. Many fine artist exhibited, including previous grand prize award winners. "Beneath the Moon" will become a part of Ironstone's permanent collection.
The grand prize was awarded Saturday night, March 20 at a gala dinner where the award winning chefs presented their dishes. (Ask for a copy of the desert. It was to die for.) The framed poster was unveiled and presentations were made by Chris Gomez, (the tireless organizer) and the Kautz family, owners of Ironstone Vineyards. This was an amazing poster, designed by Steve Kautz, with an all black background (the first ever at Ironstone Vineyards) and gold border and lettering. It was stunning at 24" x 30." The poster will be distributed to forty-nine countries world-wide where the Obsession wine is sold and Ironstone will have merchandise available with Jones’s art on it.
