Mars Polar Pastel
Known objects are often visualized from a variety of space images. Usually nebulae receive names of common objects. In the piece above, whether you see a prancing unicorn or a carousel horse, this was visualized and abstracted by the artist by her starting with a painting she created of the Mars Polar Ice Cap in pastel colors. With the "paint" in "liquid" form, a brush was taken and swirled through the paint to create this piece.
